Walthamstow - 17/06/06

Itching to get back, I managed to get Sunday evening in.

The weather was still overcast with an occasional period of sun shine, a couple of showers and the wind was mild, conditions were the same as yesterday.

Tied 5 hares ear buzzers up. Met a bloke from the day before who had struggled and I gave him a fly, but he didn't get a chance to use it as he was leaving.

Fished #4 in the same place as yesterday near the inlet to #5. Had action straight away and the takes were savage, had 3 snap offs. Gave a fly to a man named Boris who was struggling. In the end I ran out of the HE's and used a similar #14 but with black holo body and hares ear thorax. Fish still came!!

In the end I gave Boris my rod and he managed to catch.

The main set up I used for the past three visits was:

Floating line
8ft 6lb Fulling Mill Fluoro - #10 Black holo Buzzer
8ft 6lb Fulling Mill Fluoro - #10 Stripped Peacock Buzzer,
8ft 4lb Stroft - #14 Hares ear buzzer (pearl rib, peacock herl thorax and cdc bubble), or black holo. Both with CDC ginked.

12 - 4 - 4
